Fundraiser update!

Hello all! Wanted to give you an update on where we are for fundraisers. So far with the Carnival, pizza cards, hot chocolate sales, the grange day and donation and one hat day we are at $609.80. We have one more hat day, and the raffle tickets for the baskets and Movie night to raise the balance of the $1000.00 before the end of January. I think it is totally doable!! HAT DAY's - Wednesday and Friday

Wednesday Dec. 16th and Friday Dec. 18th are hat days with the proceeds going to 8th Grade Celebration. We will be selling santa hats, reindeer ears, elf ears for $3.00 and you can wear your own hat for $1.00.

Weekend Fundraisers

Thanks 8th graders and parents for your time that you put into to the Grange table Saturday and the Hot Cocoa booth on Saturday night. We made $137.00 at the Grange selling tickets for the baskets and baked goods and $70.00 at the Hot Cocoa booth for two hours of freezing! Next week we will do two hat days - we are getting closer to our goal - Thanks for your support!

Planning Meeting (12/1/09) Notes

Hello all

Thanks for those of you who attended our 2nd meeting to Plan the 8th Grade celebration. I apologize if you didn't know about it, we sent out an email through goggle and it got hung up somewhere??????

Hope this one gets to you. If I dont hear from at least 3 people by Friday , I'll try something else!!

Wanted to send out some notes and let everyone know there is plenty of volunteer opportunities if you have some time.

The majority of the kids voted to go to Mavericks on June 16th so that is what we are fundraising for. The total bill from Mavericks is $2010 and we told them we would give them half by the end of January with the balance due on June 16th. We discussed bussing and lunch options but will focus on that when we get closer.

Fundraising team (Stella Hughes and Teri Newcomb) shared with the group the fundraisiers they have been working on.

• Carnival netted about $120.00
• Donation from the Grange was $100.00
• Pizza cards and money are due now and we have $170.00 so far (still have some cards out there )
• Hats, glow sticks and Hot Chocolate sales this Saturday (dec 5th) at ACE during the light parade and hat sales and bake goods (bake goods can be donated to Gretta Gredau) and face painting at the Grange Farmers Market Dec 5 and 12th
• Pat Stone offered to bake for the 12th and Stella offered to bake for the 5th but more donations couldn't hurt!!
• Pat Stone will also contact the YA YA sisterhood and see if they are willing to donate.
• Hat Days at LPMS on Dec 16th and 18th. Karen will take Weds and Jennifer will take Friday to sell the hats.
• Looking for a big raffle item, any ideas for someone willing to donate something (weekend, golf, ipod) let Stella Hughes know.
• Movie night is coming up in January
• Bingo nights at the Moose in January and March
• 50/50 at Basketball tournaments
• Valentines day dance (Becky Rameriz is heading this up)
• Change wars in March (Karen Aamodt offered to head this up)
• Hat day in January

• Pat Stone said she talked to the carver regarding the sign and hawk donation. He is willing to donate the sign if we finish it and we will discuss the Hawk after we see how the fundraising is going.

• Discussed Dance Decorations and what might be available. Marni is going to check and see what themes are available.
