Fundraising update and HELP needed!

Hello all!
The dance last weekend was a great sucess, we made $1035.00 from dance admission and concessions!! Thanks kids for coming and thanks parents for helping making it a success!

MONEY!!! From all of our fundraisers we have made $4560.00, we have spent $1750 (mavericks deposit, renting White building, concessions, figeros fundraisier, purchase of hats ) Which leaves 2817.00 - Here is what we have allocated


Mavericks $1000.00
BBQ lunch at Mavericks 450.00
Bus ride to mavericks 225.00 (still putting together the actual amount!)
Mailing of permission slips 25.00
DJ for Dance 250.00
Food for dance 100.00
Decorations for dance 100.00

this leaves a little over $650.00 to cover presents and other expenses. We will try and get one more meeting in to discuss this and discuss details of the dance and mavericks. If there is money left, I understand it follows the kids to high school. They can always vote to donate it or if anyone else has ideas, let us know!



HELP!! There is still the raffle hanging out there as well. Some tickets have been sold but I dont know who has them. If anyone is willing to take that on and distribute tickets to sell or something, please step forward. I can not take that on before the end of the year. Colleen has generously donated the picture books but I dont know where we are at on tickets and sales. Teri? Stella? Colleen? Karen? Anyone? We don't need the money to pay for Mavericks but I hate to leave it hanging!!


OTHER STUFF!! Pat Stone graciously worked with the local sign carver and he took in the old LPMS sign and refurbished it for no cost. Terry Foster has put some sealant on them and they look great!
HELP!! I need someone willing to take on the presentation of the sign to the school. The sign needs to be rehung ( I have the hardware) and the presented to the school from the 8th graders either on June 16th before the kids leave for Mavericks or before that if you have a plan. Please contact me and we can work out the handoff! (Terry wants them out of his shop sooner than later) .

8th grade Celebration Fundraising update

Dance was a great succes, we know have $1680.00
will have another dance May 7th to raise the rest of the money we need.
Discussed gifts and decorations and Angie will order those.

Fundraising update

We have had some great fundraisers!

dinner Monday night at the Moose we made $250.00, The YAYA sisterhood has donated $200 and the Dance and Concessions made $1019 Friday night.

We now have $1680.00 to pay for Celebration Day!! Our 8th graders are going to have sooo much fun!

Hello all!
thanks to EVERYONE that helped with the enchilada dinner and Bingo -
we raised $250.00 on Monday night and it turned out great!!

Dance on Friday at the White Building- Parent meeting at 6:45pm before
doors open. Becky and Angie will be at the White school building
about 5pm to start setting up so feel free to help. We will need most
of our help at the dance and AFTER to Clean up. If you have any
questions, please call and we will try and answer them.

WHO: 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders!
WHAT: Dance , Dance, Dance!
WHEN: Friday April 2nd 7p - 10pm
WHERE: White Building
WHY: Raise money for 8th grade Celebration
ANYTHING ELSE: Kids will not be able to leave with out a parent and a
ride home!! NO backpacks allowed. Cant leave and come back.

8th grade celebration update

Hello All We need to cancel the next meeting on March 2nd because of a conflict with Cat in the Hat Night at the Elementary school. I wanted to give you an update on what we have been doing Hat day was a success - raised $79.00, which brought our total (after the down payment of 1000 was sent to Mavericks and paid La Pine Park and Rec $225.00 for the Dance) of $138.61. We still need $1000.00 for Mavericks, $266 for the transportation, $150.00 for the Dance and $200 for presents. In the works we have two Bingo Nights (March 8th and March 29th) at the Moose - Will need 5 adult volunteers and 10 kids to help serve dinner. Please let me or Angie know if you can help and come play bingo if you can. $5.00 for dinner and $1.00 for bingo. The dance is set for April 2nd and last I heard we still need a DJ. Becky Ramirez is organizing this. (Thanks!!) If you have any leads, let us know. We will schedule another meeting soon and let you know the day! Notes from 8th Grade celebration Parent Meeting Feb 2nd

Quick meeting to discuss how fundraising is going. Dance is on for April 2nd at the White Building 7p-10p - need volunteers to help with Set up, Concession Stand, Dance Floor Chaperon, and Parking lot Patrol. Becky Rameriz and Teri Newcomb are coordinating the details. Midstate Electric donated $125.00 for the White Building - Thank you Colleen for picking that up! Still looking for a DJ, several people are checking around There is a Hat day February 19th - Colleen has volunteered to collect money and the posters are made! Bingo Nights at the Moose on March 8th and March 29th , one will be an enchilada feed and the other a chicken dinner with Bingo to follow. We will get proceeds from dinner and part of the Bingo Winnings. Colleen has made several photo albums that will be displayed at the school and we can sell raffle tickets. Drawing will be in June Angie Dixson has a new phone number if anyone needs to get in touch with her: 541-876-1002 Next meeting is March 2nd 6:30pm We have a balance of $284.61 in our account after paying Mavericks $1000.00 We still need $1000.00 for Mavericks. $266 for the bus ride, $200 for presents for the students and $150.00 for dance decorations. Parent Meeting for 8th Grade Celebration - Feb 2nd 6:30pm

Hello all! We have a meeting scheduled for February 2nd at 6:30pm in the Library at La Pine Middle School. We will be discussing upcoming fundraisers which include Hat Day, Bingo Nights at the Moose Lodge and a Middle School Dance in March.
